The plot

This is a superb activity day trip that will appeal to many people. Sail a large yacht, keelboat or catamaran and cruise around the nearby islands of the Racha Island archipaelago.

The scenery takes your breath away, cameras are a must! In the one to two hours we have for sailing to reach these islands we can coach crews sufficiently to be reasonably proficient to handle many of our craft.

Fun while learning

When we arrive at the island the fun begins! We anchor for lunch, go swimming and diving off the boats. Clients can snorkel by the yacht or by the rocks close to the beach and play around the anchorage in open canoes.

Stroll along the nearby beach and discover nature. Walking on deserted beaches is restful and relaxing.

Just do it

A picnic lunch is available on the beach or on the large yacht that is the support vessel. This is a day trip that all will remember. Beautiful boats and stunning scenery, yachts gliding noiselessly through the water.

The rally can be structured for groups who have little previous experience. It can also be structured for those with plenty of previous experience.

The yachts available include a selection of catamarans, a large support vessel (a classic yacht), monohulls of varying sizes and a big safety boat with 90 HP engine - a magnificent collection of boats at your disposal:

• an Admirals Cup Yacht called Switchblade for the active and energetic.
• a sophisticated 1906 Schooner for those who like sedate and classy cruising ... who want to lie back and enjoy while the crew effortlessly sail the boat to the islands.
• we have fast and modern catamarans for those who like speed and space.
• and monohull cruiser racers for those that like to sail, but don’t want too much action or too many people around them. Choose the yachts from our portfolio.

What kind of event?

A multi Activity event on a beautiful private beach. This is a spectacular boat racing activity. Twenty persons power this huge boat dressed with dragon head and tail. The half-day event starts with a welcome drink, a short explanation and demonstration of the dragon boat paddling technique and then some team building on the water.

We host a go karting event in the afternoon and make sure that everyone has a safety briefing, one lap introduction and then we race you. the event is managed by us and hosted at a fabulous track in Phuket. the racing is fun and teams are informed of results quickly and effectively with modern technology.

Who should go for it?

Team building organisers, incentives groups, colleagues at work, club members, management teams. Groups of 50-150 are ideal.

One day events of up to 200 persons are possible. Barbeque and beach party can also be arranged. talk to us and we will design the perfect day for your valued staff.

When and where?

This activity is organised principally at or Laguna Phuket and is unique to SIA. The activity is at Sail In Asia's fabulous beach location .

The go karting is run at one of Phukets newest tracks. all the equipment is safe and well maintained, just look at the video on our movies page to see what this event looks like The BBQ is famous on the island as the meat is the best we can buy and the service provision outstanding. A great bbq makes dragon boating complete!

The plan...

This is a spectacular day trip that takes the group to Phang Nga Bays most beautiful and rarely visited island anchorages.

Ko Yao Yaiis spectacular. It is an island anchorage with in the National Park. The anchorage is set in a magnificent tropical islands that abound in this special place.

The yachts sail elegantly into the calm waters of Phang Nga Bay. Here the iskands are formed of limestone and spectacular stacks abound.

The yachts proceed to the anchorage as they slowly ply their way through the islands that abound, in this area. The trip to this destination takes approximately 2-3 hours.

The fun...

Once the anchor is down the guests can go swimming and play on canoes in this quiet place. The anchorage is incredibly peaceful. Nearby are ancient cave drawings that are claimed to be over 5000 years old.

Lunch is served on the yachts or if the tides are favourable on a nearby beach. At lunch time we we swim or amble on the beautiful islands. Snorkelling is really fabulous at Ko Kai with abundant sea life and coral eveident everywhere. The yachts return to Phuket mid afternoon. As we cruise homeward a cool afternoon beverage is served.

Just for you...

The boats anchor at the anchorage, just before 5pm. Guests are escorted to the beach using the yachts dinghies.
